Does anyone know the part number of this Torx bolt/screw, as well as the flanged nut under it?

It came out a few times and I lost the flanged nut, replaced that with a nut and washer, but this time the bolt itself went missing as well.

2006 Solstice... thanks.

EDIT, Here is the other side:

Also I found my pack of spare nuts that I got from Home Depot... forgot if this is M6.

EDIT 2: I’m suspecting it’s either one of these:

EDIT 3: So turns out none of the the dealerships have it, nor does the manufacturer. Ended up going to Home Depot and improvised.

Turns out in addition to the bolt, I’m also missing a brass sleeve on the bolt, the threads shouldn’t touch the linkage directly.

So the end result: hex bolt, washers, blue threadlocker, plumber’s tape.

And the schematic:

Not very nice looking, but at least I can open my top again.

looks like its part of #10 on the first diagram, “Link Assembly”

https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/auto-parts/2006/pontiac/solstice/base-trim/2-4l-l4-gas-engine/body-cat/convertible-top-scat

as far as the individual bolt, dont have that much detail, maybe take the other one to a hardware store and match it up with something?

Time for the red loctite?

Yeah that’s where I was looking as well. I still have the linkage.

Yeah that’s what I’m doing next. Have some blue one but not red...

nicely done. Stupid GM and only selling that as an “assembly”....the y couldn’t be bothered to just identify or list the fastener?

I too recommend trying to spec the other bolt that hasn’t gone for a walkabout.

@Toni p ictures and dimensions?

I lost the bolt this time, I’ll have to take the other side down to get a pic.

...BUT, I’m thinking I may have found it: https://www.factoryoemparts.com/gm-pan-head-torx-bolts-pack-of-5-new-oem-black-m6-x-100-x-16-25608354-25608354

I do vaguely remember the bolt may be M6, what I do remember is the nut and washer was super, super cheap at Home Depot. like 5 cents or something. I need to bring the suspected nut up to measure it.

I’d run any m6 you have, to make sure the threads match, before buying that, but it looks right. I’d also recommend a healthy dose of locktite and/or a star washer , to avoid losing another.

Thanks. Don’t understand why they didn’t just show it on the diagram.

I would specify blue loctite, so that you could remove it if you have to. Red is permanent without heat

i would go with blue in the event that it is too tight, you can still remove it.

Yeah I know the red loctite was a joke, heh. Red is really for edge cases I find.
